Visit this magnificent Pyrenees Catalan region of the Capcir / Cerdagne, surrounded by the Carlit, Madres and Cambre D’Axe mountain ranges, rising to nearly 3000m, for a superb value, year round, mountain holiday.

This beautiful, high mountain area forms part of the Pyrenees Orientales department, within the Langedoc Roussion, and lies between Andorra to the west and the Mediterranean coast to the east, has a superb snow record and unusually for the high mountains, is officially Frances sunniest region with over 300 days of sunshine per year.

9 local ski stations are linked by a Neige Catalan pass. In summer this area is a mecca for Adventure Activity families and individuals who, in addition to walking and climbing in the mountains, enjoy parapenting, canyoning, rafting, via ferrata, horse trekking and many others.

With more than 40 years outdoor experience, walking, climbing, mountaineering, canoeing and cycling at a high level around the world, including the 1975 British Everest Expedition and the 1986 Commonwealth Games, your hosts, Mike & Jenny have been located in this region for many years and would love to share their love and knowledge of this beautiful area with you.

A variety of accommodation is available, in our new apartments or on a B&B basis, but will be based around the old mountain villages of Les Angles and Formigueres, the main ski centres of the Capcir. The Les Angles accommodation is in the old village, near to a swimming pool, bowling alley, ice skating and several restaurants, and within walking distance to the nearest lifts. Our south facing accommodation has stunning views of the mountains.
